  • 1 day driver – curtainsider work
  • 1 day driver – container work
  • 1 part-time driver – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
THE WORK

Road haulage from a family-run Liverpool operation.

McKinney operates its own curtainsider and skeletal trailers, alongside traction-only work for compatible customer-supplied trailers. Depending on the work available and your experience, driving can include general haulage, container movements and traction assignments.

Traction work can involve different trailer types by arrangement, including tankers, tippers, refrigerated trailers and other compatible equipment where the driver, trailer and operating requirements are suitable.

Current applicant requirements

McKinney is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for its Liverpool operation. The current recruitment criteria supplied by the company are:

Class 1 licence

A current Category C+E / Class 1 driving entitlement.

2 years’ experience

At least two years of HGV Class 1 driving experience.

All required cards

Valid Driver CPC, digital tachograph card and Liverpool Dock Card.

Professional standards

Reliable communication, thorough vehicle checks, prompt defect reporting and a professional approach with customers and delivery sites.

Age requirement

The current vacancy criteria supplied by McKinney specify applicants aged 25 or over.
